Job requirements:

In possession of valid certificate(s);
-
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Crane Operator on seagoing vessels, or in a similar position;
-
Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
Job tasks:
-
Transfer pipes and containers to and from supply vessels, as well on board;

Become familiar with the operation of all cranes on board;
-
Make daily inspections of crane wires and condition;
-
Make weekly written reports on cranes and keep up the crane log book;
-
Report crane malfunctions immediately to the Barge Foreman / Deck Engineer;
-
Liaise with the Bridge when lift could affect the vessel's stability;
-
Ensure that all safe work procedures for crane lifts are adhered to;
-
Execute minor maintenance in conjunction with the Deck Engineer, such as greasing, cleaning and painting;
-
Observe all Quality, Safety, Health and Environment requirements.
