For our office in Delft, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Legal Counsel. The Legal Counsel works within the Legal & Insurance Department. This department is responsible for all legal, insurance and tax planning matters of Allseas.
Job requirements:

University degree in Dutch or UK Civil Law, a speciality in Fiscal, Insurance, Company and/or Contract Law is an advantage;

Knowledge of English Law is a strong advantage;

Minimum of 7 years experience as Legal Counsel within an internationally operating company, preferably in an offshore, marine or industrial environment;

Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
-
Knowledge of or affinity with technical, tax and / or financial subjects;
-
Good negotiating skills;
-
Open-minded to learn ‘on-the-job’.
Job tasks:
-
Review and advise on contract terms and conditions of tenders;
-
Prepare and / or review tender documents;
-
Prepare qualifications / clarifications to contract documents and advise / participate in follow-up;
-
Identify and advise on (potential) variations, claims and disputes and co-ordinate external legal / insurance advice in relation thereto, including follow-up;
-
Arrange adequate insurance coverage for contracted work and / or planned resources in conjunction with Allseas’ management;
-
Maintain legal / contractual / insurance know-how by keeping up-to-date with relevant (changes in) law, market developments, etc.;

Provide legal advice as and when required on any subject.
