The Vessel Manager is the intermediary between the vessels and the departments within the office. The Vessel Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, all schedule related and budget related matters and delegates issues to the vessel management team members. The Vessel Manager reports directly to the Department Head Operations.
Job requirements:

HTS / Nautical level;
-
Minimum four years of relevant experience, preferably in an offshore or marine environment;

Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
-
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail;
-
Excellent communicator, pragmatic problem solver, team player;
-
Willing to travel.
Job tasks:
-
Provide tender input as requested by the Proposals Department;
-
Familiarise with project requirements and provide input for project preparations;
-
Liaise with the vessel on project preparations;
-
Perform interdisciplinary checks on project specific and general installation procedures;
-
Ensure adequate follow-up of problems encountered by the vessel offshore;
-
Manage port calls of the vessel in preparation for offshore execution;

Manage all onshore support to the vessel during execution of offshore work;

Update operation manuals and assist the vessel with the implementation and maintenance of ISM, IMO and other statutory and project requirements;

Liaise with Logistics Engineers on logistic and operational process optimisation;

Liaise with the Manager Project Management on the impact of changes in the seasonal schedule and/or changes in vessel movements;

Assess the suitability and fit for purpose state of chartered vessels;
-
Identify areas of exposure or improvements within the Operations Department.
