Conversion of Audacia 2006-2007

In June 2005, Allseas announced that it would build a new 225 m long dynamically positioned pipelay ship, to be named Audacia. Two months later, the Panamax type bulk carrier "Geeview"  was procured.

In December 2005, Geeview  arrived at the Keppel Verolme shipyard, where the conversion works started in January 2006. End September 2007, Audacia  left Keppel Verolme for sea trials in the North Sea, followed by the execution of the first pipelay project in the beginning of December 2007.
