Minimise our environmental impact

We are committed to minimising our environmental footprint by boosting efficiency and cutting emissions across all operations and throughout our supply chain. Our target is to cut our scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% by 2030, with the goal of achieving net-zero by 2050.

Our path to sustainable operations

We have made considerable progress to deliver on our ambitious environmental promises since the launch of our sustainability strategy in 2020. Sustainability and environmental management are fully integrated into our corporate governance, and support and shape our strategic goals.

To support our business and sustainability goals, we established a robust framework with dedicated workgroups focused on driving efficiency and cutting emissions across our operations.

Our three-pronged approach to net-zero

To drive sustainable change and lead the company into a net-zero, we focus on three key action areas:

–30%

Cut our CO² emissions by 30% by 2030

–100%

Carbon neutral across our operations by 2050

Prevention

We are reducing emissions through smart efficiency measures like optimised vessel speeds, draught and routing, along with in-depth analysis of our offshore equipment’s energy use.

Alternative energy sources

We are making meaningful strides toward a cleaner energy mix by embracing battery and shore power for our vessels, and solar energy for our offices and yards, not to mention testing alternative (bio)fuels and investigating sustainable propulsion systems and alternative fuels.

Offsetting

We are pursuing carbon offset initiatives, such as reforestation, afforestation and sustainable agriculture to counterbalance our remaining footprint.

This comprehensive approach brings us closer to a net-zero future while setting new standards for environmental responsibility in offshore energy.
