Scope of work 

  • Engineering, preparation, removal & disposal (ERPD) of 14,200-tonne topsides & 8500-tonne jacket  
  • Transfer of topsides & jacket from Pioneering Spirit to Iron Lady for load-in to Veolia Peterson yard at Dales Voe, Shetland 
  • Pre-lift preparations (incl. removal / separation of pipework and obstacles, & installation of support stools & grillage) 
  • Design, fabrication and installation of bearing blocks onto jacket legs to engage with horseshoes (lifting tools) to perform lift 
  • Cutting and seafastening of the platform legs (prior to topsides lift) 
  • Design & fabrication of horseshoe lifting units, support stools & grillage. 
  • Design & fabrication of jacket work platforms & rigging
