  • Installation of 2.4-km, 6-inch fuel line to hot tap on existing 30-inch Garden Banks pipeline

Specials & challenges 

  • Depressurisation of existing pipeline before extension of same pipeline in both directions 
  • Audacia’s first project in the Gulf of Mexico 
  • Recovery of existing Phoenix gas pipeline (south section) in the vicinity of existing Red Hawk spar platform whilst leaving an existing ILS in place on the seabed 
  • Deepwater ILS & PLET installation (2120 m water depth) 
  • Narrow lay corridor prone to spans with multiple pipeline and cable crossings 
  • Difficult seabed topography resulting in critically small pipeline curve radii 
  • Initiation of the fuel gas line near SMI-205 platform and laydown at existing Garden Banks 30-inch gas pipeline
